NMIC Chapter of Blacks in Government - Region XI

BIG is an employee support and advocacy organization whose primary mission is to promote and enhance educational and training opportunities for African Americans in government. It serves as an advocacy, training, education, and professional development organization and is committed to equity in all aspects of American life, excellence in public service and opportunity for all Americans.

Since its founding, the BIG organization has dedicated its efforts to providing quality training, educational enrichment and professional development experience to chapter members for the purpose of helping them acquire the skills necessary to meet the challenges of changing technology and diversity in today's work environment.

Career Opportunities The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) is located at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland Maryland, a suburb just outside of Washington DC. At ONI, you will join an organization that provides timely and reliable naval and maritime intelligence to the nation’s maritime customers-joint war fighters, the Department of the Navy and the maritime intelligence requirements of national agencies and departments. ONI is the largest of the many Naval Intelligence commands making up the Naval Intelligence community.
